Five Provident staff members and some of their kids participated in the 3 mile Walk to End Alzheimer’s in NW Hills on Saturday, October 15th.  Provident’s Austin team raised $1,180 for the Alzheimer’s Association.  Thanks to all who donated.  Photos are on the Photo Gallery webpage.

The Arveda properties are now under new ownership and will transition to the new name, Provident Memory Care, on January 1, 2012. The same management team and staff will continue to provide our residents with the same high level of care and high quality of life.

The Alzheimer’s Association’s 2011 Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be in Austin on October 15.  Provident’s Marketing Director, Kim Terracina, will serve on the Austin planning committee and will be Provident’s Team Captain again this year. There are several ways to support the Alzheimer’s Association:

 

  • Be a corporate sponsor or individual donor
  • Be a committee member
  • Be a team captain of your own team of walkers
  • Be an Provident team member

Residents’ family members attended a Mother’s Day Brunch at Provident on Sunday, May 8th at Noon.  Belgian waffles, quiche, kolaches, fruit salad and non-alcoholic mimosas were served.

Provident’s SW Austin residence is currently full with 15 women and 7 men.  We are accepting wait-list reservations.

March was the 2 year anniversary of Provident’s SW Austin residence.

The Alzheimer’s Walk Recruitment Happy Hour is at Santa Rita, 1206 W. 38th St. in Austin, on Wednesday, May 25th, 5:00-7:00pm.  The Alzheimer’s Association’s 2011 Walks to End Alzheimer’s will be in Austin on October 15 and in San Marcos on November 5.  Provident’s Marketing Director, Kim Terracina, will serve on the Austin planning committee and will be Provident’s Team Captain again this year.
