Dining: Provident’s Kitchen Director provides 3 home-cooked meals and 3 snack and hydration breaks daily. She worked with a registered dietician to develop 4 weeks of healthy well-balanced meals. A pass-thru window from the kitchen to the dining room allows the residents to smell what’s cooking to stimulate appetite. The weekly menu is posted so that the residents can read what’s cooking. Provident’s staff eats with our residents to monitor, cue and socialize.
The kitchens at Provident Memory Care provide scratch made, home style meals that are comforting and satisfying. The menus include classics such as Chicken Pot Pie, Slow Cooked BBQ Brisket, Smothered Pork Chops, Fried Chicken, and Pot Roast. Accompanying side dishes are never overlooked, with homemade Macaroni and Cheese, Fried Green Tomatoes, Ambrosia Salad, and Southern Green Bean Casserole. Generous desserts appease all sweet tooth’s with new additions such as Sweet Tea Pie, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, and Hot Fudge Brownie Sundaes. We are committed to cooking special meals for very special customers.
Nursing Supervision: Provident’s Nurse Manager supervises medication management and is the care coordinator between the residents and their physicians.
24 Hour Care Staff: Provident provides 3 shifts of caregivers daily. The staff is specially trained in dementia care and provides assistance with the residents’ activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting or incontinence care.
Laundry and Housekeeping: Provident’s staff launders the residents’ clothes and linens and provides housekeeping weekly.
Beauty Shop: Once a week a beautician provides hair and nail services to Provident’s residents. This is an optional service that is not included in the monthly rate.
